RECOMMENDATIONS: It is very efficient where chamferring and grooving is necessary without any supplementary equipment. For preparing sections prior to welding, gouging out old or defective weld metal removing flash and rises. Ideal to remove most unwanted metal prior to final machining. Forpreparing sections prior to welding for ferrous and non ferrous meal. Specially formulated flux coating produces exothermic action which concentrates the force at the point of application. Operated on AC/DC. PRINCIPAL APPLICATION: Gouging iron. Aluminium other metals, bevelling cracks removing extra metal and unwanted sections, Chamfering, grooving or gouging an cast iron and other metals. PROCEDURE: Use AC/DC straight polarity. CG-1 pointing to travel at an angle 30o with surface of work. Move quickly for shallow chamfer slowly for deeper groove. Remove the molten metal away to pass concentrated arc. Repeat the procedure for deeper grooves. RECOMMENDED AMPERAGE: AC/DC(+)
